Paul and I are both avid runners and have participated in many races over the years. We particularly like to do those that benefit a good cause. When Madyson got sick, running became our outlet, our time to process what was happening. It was on a run with a girlfriend that the idea for Miles 4 Madyson was born. Paul and I had talked about how important it was for us to find a way we could help a cause that has become so important to us. The two charities that stood out to us immediately were the Ronald McDonald House and MACC Fund. The Ronald McDonald House was our home away from home while Madyson was receiving treatment. The research that the MACC Fund does every day helps us get closer to a cure! While the rates of survival have improved, there is still a long way to go! A run/walk seemed like the perfect way for us to help! We are looking forward to putting on an event that is perfect for runners and walkers of all ages!!! A great event for the whole family to come out and support a great cause!
